In 2005, members of Linkin Park founded Music For Relief, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing aid to victims of natural disasters, helping to reduce global warming and raising awareness about the effect climate change is having on the frequency and intensity of such disasters. Originally created to benefit the victims of the 2004 South Asia tsunami, MFR continues to give aid to those affected by hurricanes, cyclones, wildfires and other natural catastrophes around the globe.

Music For Relief’s community of artists, music industry professionals, and fans work together to not only provide immediate and long-term disaster recovery, but they also work to support preventative measures such as reducing global warming. To date, they have planted over 810,000 trees and raised over $3 million for their programs.
