Brushfire Records has remodeled a new office building that includes a recording studio, and they have made every effort to incorporate environmentally friendly and renewable resources wherever possible. Green elements include solar panels to generate all of the power needed for the offices and studio, insulation in interior/exterior walls made with 100% post consumer waste, refinished original hardwood floors with a low toxic/low solvent formula made form all natural and renewable ingredients, green roofing materials and shingles, energy efficient lighting throughout, second hand furniture in all offices, and low-flow toilets for minimum water consumption.

Additionally, the office is equipped with with energy efficient lights, power strips that automatically shut off for power cords for cell phones/laptops etc., and they purchase renewable energy certificates for power usage not covered by their solar panels. Waste management and recycling programs are in place, and recycled goods are used whenever possible.

Brushfire Records is a 1% For the Planet member; one percent of all profits are donated to support environmentally friendly organizations. They are also developing a "green guide" for artists/management to educate themselves on emission free recording, touring, green e-certification, organic merchandise options, etc. Brushfire is manufactured and distributed by Universal, and has challenged and influenced the label to source environmentally friendly packaging options; their CD packages are now made with FSC certified papers and recycled plastics.
