December 31st, 2009The night before the music industry celebrates its own, it only makes sense that some of the business’ top acts get together to just jam, thanks to The Roots.
The Jam Session pairs a “who’s who” of music’s best with the Philadelphia-based hip-hop band for a continuous, impromptu jam to a packed audience. Past performers include Snoop Dogg, Travis Barker,Fall Out Boy, Queen Latifah and Matisyahu. Past attendees includeJay-Z, Tom Cruise, Prince, Beyoncè, Dave Chappelle, Jeremy Piven,Black Eyed Peas and Don Cheadle.
Each year, The Roots Jam Session launches a campaign to make the message of the night beyond the celebration. This year the group has teamed with environmental coalition, Green Music Group.

Gimme Hip Hop: Back Again
December 31st, 2009After taking a break earlier this year, hip hop’s favorite band, The Roots will resume their pre-Grammy night Jam Session. The Jam sessions are usually the talk of Grammy week in Los Angeles. Artists that have participated with the band include Snoop Dogg, Queen Latifah and Corinne Bailey Rae to name a few.
The event partner is Green Music Group and will it will also be co-presented by Vibe Lifestyle Network.
